Fun at Frightmares

In October we met up with a bunch of family and went to Frightmares at Lagoon. It was great fun a AWESOME weather. We couldn't have asked for a better weather in October.

It was a first for Kyler and Bryce. Ky went on all the rides he could and enjoyed every minute of it.
Ky and Grandma were on the egg beater.

A first for me was going on the sky coaster. I can't believe that I went. CRAZY....

Here we are getting strap into some gorgeous outfits. Our cousins Paige and Ashlie went also.

It made me feel a little bit old. All these 15 years old were running the rides.

We got hoisted up into the air.

And up and up and up

Paige and Ashlie are on the left. Me and Jill are on the right.

Action shot of me an Jill flying over all the family.

Bryce was a great sport. He really was just fine sitting in his stroller. He went on a couple rides. He would scream when the bar or strap got snug, but enjoyed it once the rides got going.

Kyler and Devin in on the planes.

Grandma and Ky standing in line for the "SPOOKY HOUSE." If you guys run into Ky you should ask him about the spooky house...it was not his favorite.

As we were getting ready to go we started to play in the "dancing waters" Me and bryce got wet on accident. I think there are totally some kind of sensors or something. That stream of water came out of no where.

Grandpa and Kyler running through the dancing water.

All in all it was a fun day.
Me and John trying to take a pic while we stood in line for the new ride "Wicked"

Ky + Sept = Preschool

I have a couple of minutes from homework, study for the CHT test and life that I thought I would try to update a little.
Back in September Kyler started preschool with "Miss Janet." He just loves her and is always excited to go to school. This year he will go two days a week. Next year he will go three days a week.
He was excited to pick out his back pack . . Spider man. He gets to take turns bringing the treat bucket home and refilling it and taking it back. He loves having a little bit of responsibility.

He has been learning about the letters in the alphabet.

What happens....

when you step out of the room for five minutes.....

Nearly an entire bag of powder sugar spread around lovingly!

I am not quite sure if the boys worked together or seperatley....Bryce was screaming on top of the table and Kyler just "disappeared." Of course neither one knew how it happened.

What is missing?

What is missing?
The 13th Floor!!

Well I made it to San Antonio, TEXAS!!! The flights were good. I took my first cab ride...I didn't get a picture of that though. He was a very nice guy and showed me their mountains. Well if you look at the skyline of these pictures...you won't find any mountains. The mountain that he showed me was smaller than Freeman park hills. I really think that it is where they dumped extra fill dirt when doing construction. Be he assured me it was a mountain.
I don't know if it was just me...but I don't see any mountains.
San Antonio has some amazing architecture. This is a cool building next to the Alamo.
There is the River Walk which is actually pretty cool. It is set below the street level. It is much cooler down there than walking on the sidewalks up on the street.

There all kinda of restaurants and shops down in the river walk. I don't really know how to explain it. But you can walk past a building and not even know it is a Joe's crab shack or a Hard Rock Cafe. They aren't allowed to display big signs like they do in Idaho.
The majority of the hotels have an entrance to the River Walk from the basement.
A cool tree!!!

And a fountain...

And another fountain....

And another fountain....

Having a great time here in Texas. I will be glad to get home.

Carpet

It has been a crazy few days...but here is the new carpet. I should have changed lenses..but I didn't..Sorry. But you can still admire the carpet. It is nice to have things back in order. I can finally get to my laundry room and do some wash!! I will get to have clean clothes for Texas.

As you can tell....it didn't take long for the boys to break in the carpet. They are very excited to be able to play downstairs again. Ky is still just amazed that all the "Pokeys" are gone, referring to the tack stripping.

I am enjoying my new carpet.....Hopefully there aren't to many that are jealous. You know who you are! ;)

Fun at our house

On Tuesday morning I ran down the stair to grab a pair of scrubs...and stepped into a flooded basement. That's right...Water in out basement. the night before the hose out front was left on and in proximity to a window well. Immediately we started to suck up water....and more water and more water. After about 50 gallons of water we still had enough water that when you stood on the carpet the water would cover the top of your feet. Since the pad under the carpet is just like a sponge...we kept getting more water out of the carpet. We finally gave up and decided that we would just replace the carpet since we had been talking about doing that anyways. The flooding just made it happen a little bit faster.

After we had sucked up a lot of water...don't the carpets look clean! ;-)

Luckily the carpets were the only thing damaged.

You can still see water sitting on top of the carpet.

So we ran around town looking at carpet. Luckily we had been looking for a while so we kinda new what we wanted. Then we came home and started ripping out the carpet. Lets just say that the next day I found muscles that I had forgotten that I even had.

John hard at work...I promise I helped..I just had to take a few snap shots during the process.

Wet carpet is VERY heavy!!!

We finally got all the carpet out and hauled off to the dump.

Well right now as I type and upload pictures...the carpet guys are working on my basement. Yippie. The kids will be excited. Kyler was asking yesterday when out house was going to be better. Bryce and mom have learned to step over the Tack Strips. We will be glad to have our house in working order.

Swimming Lessons

It has been a busy July...that is for sure. Ky had 2 weeks of swimming lessons. He did really well and is very proud that he will go under water all by his own free will. Let me just tell you that were are excited about it too. He had lots of fun and loved his teacher. She did a great job with him.

Good FUN. Bryce was a little distraught when he couldn't go get in the pool. Maybe next year for him.

HAPPY 4TH!!!!

Happy 4th of July! Hope that everyone had a wonderful weekend. We sure did. Thanks to Tracy and Mike inviting us to hang in Island Park. We had a great time hanging and watching fireworks on the reservoir that night to.
Bryce had a blast. Ear to ear smiles until we ran into some wakes of the other boats.
Kyler actually took a little bit of persuasion to get him on the tube. He had fun once he got on and we got going.

Then it was me and John's turn. It was a great ride and we were doing pretty good...
Hitting some good bumps.....

Then John starts to to push me off....and I held on....

And I held on....

Until I couldn't hold on anymore....

Anyways....fair warning to John..Paybacks baby!!! It was a great 4th!

Yippie

So today my lens that I have been waiting for finally came in! I am soooooo excited. I was just messing around with it today....so here goes!!

Look at the eyes...don't they say Pick me up mom!!

Ky wouldn't look at me.....but he is going to have to get use to the fact that the camera is going to be out a lot!!

Tegan was kinda being a stinker too. But I at least was able to snap a couple of him.

Michael is finally giving in to me....a great smile!!

Well I am loving my birthday gift...If any one wants me to practice on them..I am game!! Need all the "practice" I can get!

Just playing

As many of you know I got a new camera for my birthday. I have been sooo excited and waiting for a decent day to go and start learning how to use it. Well the rain finally let up and I had a willing participant...Bryce! Ky was not having any of it....he was kind of a pill....but we still love him. John did a great job at getting Bryce to look and smile at the same time.

Update

Well whats new. It has almost been a few weeks since I posted anything...SURPRISE SURPRISE!!!!
This is what we have been up to....
Bryce riding the horse. I think it is trick style. Gotta love this little guy and the big guy. Our boys love to play and horse around - pun totally intended!!!

Bryce is also learning about the corner. I don't really think it is working as discipline because he turns and grins once he thinks he need to be done with the corner.

Ky is doing great with potty training. If he has an accident it is usually once a day. Great improvement. Here he is learning how to sit on the floor and spin.

Bryce is playing doctor. He thought it was pretty cool being able to hear random things with the stethoscope.

There really hasn't been anything to exciting going on. I am enjoying doing my hyperbarics and anticipating the start of the nursing program in August. I should be heading to Texas in August for more Hyperbaric stuff then be done with that. Anyways all is good...life is great!
Just want to say congrats to Nick and Stevie and their new little girl - we are all healthy now so hopefully we can come see you this week.
Congrats to Trent and Heather and their new baby boy! Let us know if there is anything we can do from Idaho for you guys

Thought I would let you all know that I have been accepted into the Nursing Program and will start the professional part in August. YIPPIE!!! I am really excited and am finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. I should be graduating in Dec. 2010.

Other good news is that work is willing to work with me and school....and I have officially started my training as a CHT = Certified Hyperbaric Technologist. This will take me until August and hopefully pass that test I start the nursing program.

For those of you who asked what Hyperbarics was....this is a Hyperbaric Chamber. Troy is sitting on the stool....that will be ME!! Having this certification in hard to come by. There are only 2800 CHTs in the world. Once I get my CHT and LPN, I will be that farther ahead. It is definately an opportunity that I can't pass up. I am just glad that everything is falling into place.
Hyperbarics is a medical treatment in which the patient’s entire body is placed under increased atmospheric pressure, in a pressurized chamber, while breathing 100% oxygen. Through a series of daily treatments, the building of new blood vessels into damaged tissue is enhanced. This method of treatment is proven effective for non-healing wound, osteomyelitis(bone infection) that does not respond to standard treatment, problem surgical wounds, and skin grafts and flaps that are having trouble healing. HBOT is also helpful with patients experiencing complications from radiation therapy.
Just wanted to let you all know what was going on with me....finally I have a few answers to give!!
